Welcome Serge and thanks for taking the time to join us for this Darkpsy(de) interview. You have been around and contributing hugely to the scene for a long time now so it's a special pleasure to have you here. So, lets get to it...
Q 1 - You have been releasing music for a long time, what was it that originally inspired you to write music?
A – Hmm, I think music inspired me....

Q 2 – Your F-People album surprised many people as it seemed to be a little less brutal than most of your previous work. You have 2 new albums coming out this year, what can we expect from them musically?
A – One of the new albums “Electric Grooves” will be lighter. What style? I think we can call it dark full on. The other one is a split album with Samadhi “Vostok 1 : Escape The Gravity” which will be very very hard.

Q 3 – What are your views on the current trend of music piracy?
A – I don’t have any views on it I just really don’t like it!

Q 4 – You were friends with Zolod. His untimely death was felt all around the world but do you think it was felt especially in Russia? How was people’s response to the news?
A – This was a mega shock for everyone! Tears were in my eyes when I heard about it. Zolod was one of the best artists all over the world for me!For sure for Russians his death was really a big shock because he was one of the pioneers of the trance scene in Russia and a lot of people knew him and he was also a kind person.

Q 5 - What is the scene like in Russia? There are many great darkpsy artists coming out from there but is there a very healthy party scene too?
A – The party scene in Russia is very big with a lot of parties every week.A lot of foreign artists! Party people rox hehe!

Q 6 – Darkpsy is the label that has been slapped upon our music, personally I prefer the description full power night time music. It is a debate that has been going on almost since the expression was first coined, so, do you like the term ‘darkpsy’?
A – I really don’t like this mark. I prefer to say: hard night psychedelic trance.

Q 7 – Who are your favourite upcoming producers at the moment?
A – Hujaboy, Panick, Dino Psaras, Chromatone

Q 8 – Where is your favourite place in the world to party?
A – Hmm I think Goa, London… and Tokyo….

Q 9 – What is your best party memory as an artist?
A – Boom 2006! No comment!

Q 10 - And your best memory as a party goer?
A – For me it’s 3 year long summer parties in one underground club in the forest 25 km outside from Moscow named Paradigma. 1998-2000.It was an old broken scout camp place, totally underground and psychedelic! Mushrooms were around us!
